In my largely black and white aesthetic, the Matcha Green Ducky feels oddly out of place, and as such, it is imperative that you pick a design that matches the vibe of your PC’s aesthetic, or if you can build a PC around a particular color scheme.īut besides the color, the Ducky One 3 is an extremely well built product. Of course, the keyboard is only one part of the overall attraction of your desktop PC. There is a certain homeliness to it - or maybe it’s the nostalgic factor resembling the computers of the 90s that does the trick, and combined with the modern design sensibilities, the keyboard is quite appealing. ![]() ![]() But having spent so much time with it now, I have come to really love the look of it. However, the stabilisers leave a lot to be desired and will require some serious fine tuning to get it to sound something that’s worth the asking price of the keyboard.Īt first glance, the Ducky One 3 Matcha Green might be hard to love - while the green ‘matcha’ accents are gorgeous, the beige color of the casing and the majority of the keycaps puts a slight damper on the overall appearance. Each of the keyboards come equipped with Ducky’s ‘Quack Mechanics’ philosophy which entails true doubleshot PBT keycaps with frosted surface, solid built quality with an eye for weight distribution, “authentic acoustics”, hot-swappable PCB, and a variety of genuine Cherry switches to choose from.Īfter spending more than a month with the Ducky One 3, I can vouch for some of those claims - it’s incredibly well built, feels supremely premium, the keycaps are wonderful, and the included Cherry Black switches offer a fun typing experience.
